UNetBootIn: Download Linux and Make Linux Bootable USB Flash Drive

Published

on

If you want to multi-boot your system with any version of Windows Operating System then you can use UNetbootin.

UNetbootin (Universal NetBoot Installer) is free and open-source application that loads utilities or installs Linux/BSD to hard drive without a CD.

You just need .iso file (setup) of any Linux distribution (Ubuntu, Fedora, openSUSE, FreeBSD, PartedMagic, etc) saved on your hard drive or a USB flash drive.

If you don’t have the installation files, UNetBootin uses its USB creation mode, and downloads files live from internet and extracts an ISO file to your USB drive, generates an appropriate syslinux config file, and makes your USB drive bootable for Linux Installation.
